Whirlwind

So the last 10 days was a whirlwind of activity for us.  Since we chose Florida as our domicile state,  we are considered to be FL residents and our doctors are all located in the vicinity of our RV mailing service in Crestview FL.  Every year we visit our physicians for our annual exams and to maintain our status as active patients in the event that we need their assistance while we are traveling.  We also presently have an awesome health care plan that provides in-network nationwide coverage if we need medical care while "out on the road".  So this was "visit doctor" week intermingled with van modifications and repairs.

My favorite mod this week was our new table that pivots and moves in all different directions.  I love it and Jim did an awesome job.

We also rescreened several of the window screens that were damaged and replaced the originals with "no see um" screens that are a tighter mesh to keep out those pesky itty bitty bugs.

The other project that Jim is tackling is removing our old badly worn decals on the exterior of our van.  Our van looks better already plus we will look more "stealthy" and less "RV like" when we park overnight in non-campground spots.

So one of the best things about this lifestyle is meeting wonderful folks and having an opportunity to reconnect .  We were able to do just that this week when we met up with Sally and John, a couple we had met nearly a year ago at Fort Pickens Campground near Pensacola Florida. Not only are they full time RVers like us but they are also fellow van dwellers so that makes it extra special.  We so enjoyed our visit with these super nice folks.
