Goodbye Florida

So we will be leaving Florida this week and it really has been too long a stay for this nomadic couple. We came down here earlier than planned due to a family commitment and we are staying longer than normal due to our desire to be in the area to celebrate our son's 30th birthday.

Don't get me wrong; Florida is a great winter refuge for nomads but ideally we would like to stay here for part of December, all of January and February and head out in March.

It has been a nice stay though and we have racked up some amazing memories. In November, we headed to the port of Jacksonville to pick up our son's cool truck that he imported from Japan.
During our stay we felt as though we were able to accomplish a lot around his home as well as complete a lot of work on our Roadtrek.

It wasn't all work though and we had some great times staying at Blackwater River State Park and Fort Pickens Campground.  Although not planned, our timing was perfect at Fort Pickens because we were able to watch the Blue Angels practice.  That was awesome!
