Goodbye Georgia & South Carolina

It's been a wonderful few months in Northern Georgia and the Upstate of South Carolina but it's time to move on.  We will be heading to North Carolina and then on to Tennessee to stay at campgrounds that we've never visited before so we are super excited.

Unlike other years when we didn't have a second vehicle, this spring and now summer, has been very different for us. Kayaking, paddle boarding and being able to go grocery shopping without having to move the van has been awesome.  Going to special events & visiting local attractions is so much easier now too.

There were times last year when we both felt a bit bored especially on rainy days but that truly isn't the case this year.

Driving separately in two different vehicles from campground to campground has not become inconvenient and we both seem to appreciate being able to listen to our own style of music while driving. 🤣

Are we spending more money this year on gas than last year? Absolutely but it is so worth it. So far this year we have spent $461 on gas for the Honda Element and $311 for the Roadtrek.  Last year we spent a total of $806 for gas for the Roadtrek and $55 for the Maverick.

Paying for gas is just one of the things that we have grown accustomed to and plan for in our budget so that we can continue to be nomadic.  (It would be nice though if gas prices came down 😊👍)

Groceries is another expense that we probably go a bit overboard on but Chef Jim loves to cook & I love that he loves to cook 🤣😋.

Well, that's all for now. Safe travels and enjoy the journey. 🥰
